mars

While exploring Mars, the question of habitation or colonization will inevitably come up. Many dream about sending men to the Mars, and researchers debate on whether they should terraform Mars into a livable habitat. Humans are missing many variables to surviving on Mars. The Red Planet is a dangerous place, and researchers are still unaware of many things. Taking risks is never an option for science, as it could lead to many dangers. Turning Mars into a habitable place could be a future possibility, but there are many downsides and things that need to be done.

Even after much research, there is still so much humans do not know about Mars. One main issue that stands in researchers’ way is whether Mars holds life to indigenous species. They could greatly affect the native habitats that are on Mars. Of course, there is a very small chance that there truly are things living things on Mars. The Red Planet is a new place that could possibly be useful in the future, so it needs to be well preserved as much as possible. Humans beings have already done so much damage to their own planet, and they can not risk destroying another. To secure humans long term survival, it is best to preserve Mars for other purposes such as academic reasons. Instead of transforming this new planet into something to suit someone’s own desires, humans should appreciate the differences in the two planets, and peacefully coexist.

There are even more risks to transforming this new planet. Contamination could get in the way of researchers learning about Mars. When sending spacecrafts and other types of space technology, there is a very strong chance that Earth’s bacteria and microorganisms will be released into space. These things could very well land in Mars and live among any other types of living organisms, causing complications. Researchers will be unable to differentiate whether the life form is contamination, or a living things from Mars. This method might depend on whether there truly is any living things on Mars or not, but taking risks is not a reliable way for science. If a risk is taken, and it turned out to be the wrong choice, it could greatly affect the study of Mars forever.

Even if there are no such living organisms on Mars, there are still so many risks for colonization. On Mars, the pressure of the atmosphere is less than one percent of the pressure of Earth’s atmosphere. This means that any liquid brought onto Mars will most likely freeze. Researches found out that there is not enough carbon dioxide on Mars to provide stable greenhouse warming. This allows researchers to conclude that terraforming Mars with current technology is not possible. Even if people eventually come up with stronger and better technology to block out all the negative things about Mars, there is the ethical part that needs to be considered. Humans should not be focusing on creating new technology so they can change and colonize other planets, and focus on recovering their own planet. There is still a very long way to go before anything can be done about Mars.

Mars is a dangerous place full with risks. Researchers still have so much that they are unaware of. It is still not known if there are living organisms on Mars. Accidentally contaminating Mars is also very likely, and can ruin researchers’ studies on Mars. There are so many negative factors such as not enough tech, not enough CO2, and so much more. Taking risks may not be the right way to answer all the questions about Mars. If even the smallest thing goes wrong, it could prevent researchers from learning about Mars. In conclusion, Mars should not be changed.

Why Mozart Kinda Sucks But People Still Think He’s Awesome

Mozart is probably the most well-known classical musician ever. That’s why he’s really really awesome. But at the same time, he can also be kind of crazy and weird sometimes. Here are some reasons why people like but sometimes don’t like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart:

First of all, he’s really bad at keeping his money. When he started getting really really rich, he was like, “Bro, I need to spend this. Like, now.” So he and his wife, Constanze Weber, started using his money lavishly and sometimes even extravagantly. For example, Mozart’s children all went to private schools. And I mean, that’s not BAD. It’s just that… He was really really bad at saving at least a portion of his money for later, just in case something unexpected happened to him. Then, when a few months pass, he’s really low on the cash and starts becoming really really glum. Then he might start doing more concerts and things like that, and then he spends all of that money and now he’s glum again (Mind you, he also had some debts to pay off at that time). That’s why you have to manage your money wisely and not be like Mozart.

Secondly, he was an alcoholic. I’m pretty sure everyone knows that being an alcoholic isn’t exactly the best thing in the world, but for those who don’t understand what I’m saying, I’ll explain it.

  1. Alcoholics drink alcohol.
  2. Then they really really want more.
  3. Then when they drink too much,
  4. They get drunk and sleepy and happy at the same time.
  5. Don’t drunk people tend to do weird things and say weird things?

And if you still don’t believe me, here:

  1. You have to be a freaking 21 year-old to be able to drink.
  2. A lot of sources on the internet also say that drinking is bad for your health: www.healthline.com, www.bbc.com, and www.health.harvard.edu, just to name a few.
  3. Why do you think everybody else doesn’t like alcoholics??

Third of all… Mozart liked butts. He, like, had an obsession with butts for some weird reason. I guess he thought he was being funny, but… In my honest opinion, he’s just failing really badly. Butt humor is typically used by four-year-olds… you get what I mean? So unless Mozart really wanted preschoolers to listen to his music, that’s not a real good obsession to have. One reason why he’s so childish might be because (In my opinion) his father started training him really really hard from the age of four. With all that composing, practicing, and working on new pieces or techniques from then on, I don’t think Mozart had all that much time to actually mature. He even wrote a piece called “Leck mich im Arsch”!

From everything I’ve written above, you might now think, “Oh, Mozart’s stupid!” or something like that (I don’t know, okay?). But you also have to remember that that’s not all to who he is. The reason why he’s still so cool is because he’s literally a GENIUS. A PrOdIgY. And he started musical learning at the age of four! Come on, that’s got to be at least a little impressive! He wrote so many pieces that are still played today. He also wrote operas, believe it or not. And even further, his masterpieces just flowed from his mind effortlessly. On the contrary, people like Beethoven had to struggle with their work and you can see that they crossed out, rewrote, and rephrased a lot. Even though Mozart tended to procrastinate (He once wrote a giant, giant piece on the MORNING of the concert), all of his work just comes out in one fantastic piece. He was a master pianist, an awesome violinist, and a lot more (that I can’t remember, probably the organ, though)! He wrote countless (over 600 works in all!) operas, symphonies, concertos, sonatas, and string quartets. And even though he spent it like an idiot, you still can’t ignore the fact that he was hella-rich.

In conclusion, Mozart was a little disgusting and acted like a doofus sometimes… But people still respect him and adore him even today. He’s just too cool, too genius and too awesome for people to only focus on the negative points of his life.

Should We Terraform Mars?

In the 2030s, NASA plans on launching people onto the first ever Mars missions. While this could lead to many potential discoveries and benefits, staying on Mars and surviving is a hard task. There are many risks associated with Mars, including radiation, and the lack of both gravity and oxygen. However, there are some things that we can do to improve the quality of life on Mars. One of the ways we could do this is to terraform Mars, which would greatly increase quality of life on Mars. The problem is, terraforming Mars is a very hard task, and it has a very controversial argument associated with it. However, despite the argument, the benefits of terraforming Mars far outweigh the potential damage we could do to Mars.

First, what does it mean to terraform Mars? Terraforming a planet is to change it to make it more hospitable for human life. Some ways of terraforming Mars include adding greenhouse gasses to the atmosphere to make it so that the temperature on Mars increases to the point where liquid water is stable on the surface of the planet. This, combined with adding minerals to the Martian soil to make it rich, and would allow plant life to grow on Mars, which would greatly increase the quality of life on Mars.

The problem is that while terraforming Mars sounds good, it could have some negative impacts on the planet and its potential life. While it has not been proven that there is life on Mars, to terraform Mars would be to ruin all chances of that life surviving on Mars. This would be similar to someone breaking into another’s home, and then adding poison gas into the house while preventing to owner from leaving it, which would kill the homeowner. So is it worth making the planet more hospitable to us while ruining it for potential alien life?

The answer is yes. This is because being able to create have humans on Mars would greatly benefit humans. Having humans be self sufficient on another planet would greatly reduce the chances of humans becoming extinct. Another thing is that there isn’t any proof of life on Mars. The Viking 1 lander landed on Mars in 1976, and after that many more landers and rovers all landed on Mars, yet aside from the fact that there used to be liquid water on the planet, there is no further evidence of life on Mars.

Establishing self sufficient humans on Mars will be very difficult, but terraforming the planet would make Mars a lot more hospitable, and would greatly increase the chances of human survival.

My Opinion of the Plans to Move Humans to Other Planets

I recently read an article about scientists are trying to get a way to put people on Mars and colonize it. I found this idea interesting and wanted to read more to see how the scientists planned to accomplish this huge feat.

The article told that scientist had the idea of tweaking the human body’s DNA for better resistance to the harsh microgravity and radiation in outer space. Tests with injecting tardigrade DNA into human cells already were successful, making the tardigrade-infused cells to be more resilient than plain old human cells. I found this kind of fascinating and inhumane at the same time.

The idea of modifying out bodies just seems really bad in my opinion, Modifying a whole body with it is so much more different than injecting a clump a cells with foreign DNA. Imagine the person, who’s life will be changed forever, and we have no idea of what side effects this may include.

The next topic of the essay is about the idea of using tiny microbes to terraform the surface of Mars to be more Earth-like and habitable for humans. Scientists are worried that this may destroy evidence of life and the natural history of Mars. While it is an interesting idea, I have to agree with the naysayers, because there is so little known about Mars, and using these microbes could potentially destroy our opportunities of learning more about our closest neighbor.

This entire article was very fun to read. I liked seeing all the amazing ideas we humans can come up with. The idea of using microbes on Mars is completely inconceivable to me. But we always must remember that no matter how many creative ideas we come up with, we must remember to not ruin the resources we have in our world.

Just like Mozart

Many people want to be like Mozart, or successful, or rich, or whatever. But we need to realize that nobody has a perfect life, even Mozart.

When he was a wee boy, his father found out that he was a child prodigy, a mastermind composer, a genius of the century, took him on a tour of Europe. Many people would like to be in his shoes. As we take a look further, his life was not that perfect. His first job caused him to be a composer, or actually a slave to an Archbishop. Later on, he moved to Paris and was barely even noticed as a composer. He then went to Vienna and there he finally was truly appreciated. The rich paid him expensively for his music and he could enjoy the luxury of a rich house. Then war struck and he faced difficulty, the rich no longer had money to spend. He had debts and many financial difficulties. Finally, he died of a disease at the young age of 35.

Many people complain: My life sucks because I am not rich or famous. They believe if they are famous or rich, they will have a good life forever. In the story of Mozart, we see how this is not the case. Mozart was a genius at music, his skills elsewhere lacked. We see that in how he never really matured and never learned how to handle money properly. For example, once he got his salary, he spent it instantly on luxurious items without any life savings which led him to have many financial difficulties towards the end of his life. Mozart, a prodigy, a genius of his century, lacked the skills which we take for granted. We need to be more grateful and appreciative for what we have.

Moving to Mars

Scientists and astronauts have been trying to find a way for humans to live on Mars for a while now. According to Mike Wall’s “Colonizing Mars may require humanity to tweak its DNA”, “If humanity is ever going to settle down on Mars, we may need to become a little less human.” This means that people will need to be trained to overcome the tough breathing situations there and other hazards that may be presented to them. One thing that could be done is genetic engineering. I believe that there are pros and cons to living on Mars.

Being able to live on Mars can help the Earth greatly. Global warming and overpopulation are starting to become huge problems, and if some people move to Mars, the Earth would not be as damaged. Just in the past 20 years, the temperature has risen a lot because of all the factories people are creating and overpopulation. In addition, many poor people are not able to take care of themselves here, but on Mars, it would seem like they are receiving a second chance. When people move to a new planet, they would surely need to open more jobs for people, giving these under deserved people another chance.

On the other hand, there are also several cons to moving to Mars. However, I believe the most important is the possibility that something controlling the air or food on Mars will break down, and most of the people will die. In addition, according to this article, scientists may have to create genetic mutations in order for humans to be able to survive on Mars. This could also be a huge risk if it does not work.

The choice of living on Mars may seem like a one-sided argument, but we need to take in all the factors that go into this before making such a big decision.

Mozart life

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Austria in 1756. Mozart’s dad, Leopold was a professional musician, and he worked for an orchestra. He also liked writing music. Leopold began teaching Mozart piano pieces when he was 4. Leopold first did it for fun, then his son surprised everyone by performing them perfectly each time. Mozart then began composing little pieces, because he wanted to create some music. Also, Mozart taught himself how to play the violin, so that was cool. So, his dad was like, oh wow he’s so cool and started touring the world with his family and they performed for all sorts of people, and Mozart met new musicians and composers. When Mozart turned 17 he got a job as a court musician for the Prince Archbishop of Salzburg. But then he got bored doing this, as if composing for a billion people wasn’t enough. Then, he left Salzburg in 1777 and went to Paris the next year, looking for somebody to play for. But i didn’t go well for him. Nobody wanted him, so he went back to Salzburg and his dad got him a position as a court organist. Then, he was arguing with his employer and then he got so mad he rage quit and moved to Vienna in 1881 just to get away from his employer. Then he was playing and composing himself and he even played for the Emperor! After he moved in for a few months, people said that he was the best keyboardist in all of Vienna. Over the years he set up lots of concerts and he performed in restaurants and apartment buildings. And then since he was so rich he started spending everything and buying everything and throwing money everywhere. Then, in 1785 the composer Haydn told Mozart that he was the best composer known to me in person and by name. Then the composer moved away from writing keyboard pieces. His first opera in 4 years was released. It was a success in Vienna and it was his best work and it was really popular. And then his fame declined. Austria was at war so he couldn’t get any money. Around in 1786 Mozart performed less and less in public. His fame was vanishing. Then in 1790 he started to rise in fame again. He got another successful piece in. And then he was performing for operas and composing again and getting lots of money. Then he died. Sucks for him. So he got sick towards the end of 1791. Then he finally died on 5, December, 1791, aged 35. He was buried in Vienna. Nobody knows how he died.

Mozart

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a childhood prodigy who began composing music at the mere age of five. At the age of six, he had already performed twice in front of imperial courts. I have played violin since the age of 8 and piano since the age of 6. Of course, I was and am not at the same level of Mozart, but there is a reason why he is considered the best composer and musician of all history.

His background in music was extensive even by the time he was in his teens. Mozart composed over 600 pieces of music including 25 piano concertos, 17 violin concertos, and over 50 symphonies. He composed over 41 symphonies by the time he was 19 while his main competition, Antonio Salieri, composed about 50 pieces in his entire lifetime.

Mozart had a gift since childhood. He composed his very first piece when he was five year old. By the time Mozart was six, he had performed in front of two imperial courts; and by the time Mozart was 14, he had also performed for the pope. All the court composers who witnessed Mozart’s music had remarked how the child was an incredible and real composer.

Mozart’s adeptness at several instruments was remarkable. He could play the piano, violin, clarinet, and other instruments. He was most well known for his piano and violin concertos. They are seen as one of the most advanced pieces for current day students and performers.

Mozart composing a real piece at the age of five is impressive enough, but it is not the only reason why he is a household name. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart not only composed over 600 pieces, but a majority of those pieces are well known. It is difficult to write pieces, but it is more difficult for those pieces to be known worldwide. That is why Mozart is considered the best composer of all time.

Cosmic

Us humans had been wanting to go to Mars and live there for so long. We’ve been thinking a lot about how we’re gonna survive on Mars. Now, scientists thought that maybe we could add an organism’s DNA into ours. And that creature is called tardigrades, the reason they chose this organism is because they can survive the vacuum of space.

Planting tardigrades’ DNA into ours really benefits us and that can make us explore more things or knowledge that we still don’t know. For example, this technique can allow astronauts to travel to Europa, which is widely regarded as one of the solar system’s best bets to harbor alien life. But another problem is that there are more dangerous things or more extoxic things there in the universe, and those are still unknown. Here is a quote from a scientist: “If we ever get there, those are the cases where the human body would be almost completely fried by the amount of radiation,” Mason said. “There, it would be certain death unless you did something, including every kind of shielding you could possibly provide.”

Humans are always inventing ideas to help the knowledge of astronomy. But there’s a long way ahead of us waiting for us to explore.
