Strict Teachers VS. Nice Teachers

Teachers are very influential to a student’s growth and life. An inexperienced or unhelpful instructor can really affect the students’ futures. Since teachers are so important to the next generation, people have wondered what type of teacher is the best for students; strict or nice. A “strict teacher” is someone who is tough on their students, while a “nice teacher” is someone who’s very lenient on their students.

Usually, many children would prefer the nice teacher over the strict teacher, due to how fun they are. Having a fun teacher is beneficial in many ways, but it also has a lot of drawbacks. One disadvantage is that the students learn very little with a nice teacher. Since a nice teacher is very lenient, they usually are pushed around by their students, and are not able teach much to them. Strict teachers are the key to academic success, since they give strong motivation to their students to be more active and learn more in class. The strict teacher makes sure that the scholars are learning properly in the classroom. This is necessary for a child’s future so that they could get a good education and a profitable job.

Some people may argue that nice teachers are more understanding and kind. The fact about how they are more understanding is true, however, this can get out of hand at times. Some teachers could be too nice and understanding that students don’t take their classes seriously. Not knowing how to be strict can allow students to get fairly chaotic in the classroom sometimes, thus slowing down the rate scholars learn at. This is extremely unbeneficial for students that are academically behind, as they won’t be able to learn or understand much from class.

However, the perfect teacher is different for each individual student. Some students need to have a nice and understanding teacher, while others might need a stricter teacher to make sure they take learning seriously. The greatest teacher is usually not just nice or strict, but someone who is understanding and fun, but can be strict when needed. Nevertheless, having a stricter teacher is still more effective for a student than a nicer teacher.

Is Time Travel good?

Time traveling is easily one of the coolest ideas that are found in many fictions. However, is time travel actually a good goal to pursue in real life? Or does it even do more good than harm? The answer is no, traveling through time is more harmful, due to the many consequences that could happen when you are in the past.

Time traveling is very dangerous. Just stepping on one insect, or killing one animal, can end a whole race and change the future drastically. For example, if you killed a bee, that bee which you killed may have had an important part in pollinating flowers or other plants. This can lead to some plants not being pollinated, and might change future races of plants. The different types of plants can effect the animals consuming it, as it might slightly change their diet. Or it might have an increase or decrease in population, effecting the plants’ environment.

Also, leaving something behind from the future can change the outcome of some events. For instance, if you leave behind a cellphone, people from the past might uncover it, and make more recent or different discoveries. These discoveries can change the future a lot, as humans could have invented flying cars in 2020 if they discovered technology earlier in life.

However, many people believe that time travel is beneficial, since they could change what happened in the past, and maybe avoid something terrible that was about to happen. Still, doing that can create worse problems. For instance, someone went to the past and stopped people from creating plastic. This could help the Earth be more clean, but it can assist the creation of something way worse, such as radioactive, super unclean, and wasteful metal.

The Princess’s Choice

The appointed day has arrived. People from far and wide gathered in the great galleries of the arena. The princess sat beside her father, and as the crowd hushed, the signal was given. A door beneath the royal party opened, and the princess’s lover walked into the arena.

Her lover was tall, beautiful and fair, and the princess could hear the murmuring of the crowd, especially of the ladies. Half the audience had not known that such a grand youth had lived among them! Jealousy slowly started to fill her head.

As her lover advanced into the arena, he turned to bow to the king, but his gaze was fixed upon the princess. She understood what she had to do.

The princess knew who was in each room, the tiger and the lady. Not only did she know which room the lady stood in, ready to emerge, but she knew who the lady was. It was one of the fairest and loveliest of those who have been selected as the reward of the accused youth, and the princess hated her.

She have had nightmares of her lover opening one of the doors, and being pounced on by the ferocious tiger. But the princess had seen him at the other door much more, rushing to meet that woman, with her flushing cheeks and her sparkling eyes of triumph. Jealousy clouded the princess’s mind, and she made her choice.

As her lover’s eyes met hers, the princess raised her hand and made a slight, quick movement to the right. She had lost him, but who should have him? No one, the princess thought resentfully.

“We shall meet each other in the afterlife,” the princess muttered softly.

Her lover turned, and without the slightest hesitation, walked and opened the door on the right. The cruel tiger, waiting for its meal, pounced on the youth. Shrieks echoed through the arena, ringing in the princess’s ears. Tears ran down her face, and she cried miserably, looking away from her lover’s betrayed face.

Why is Mozart the Greatest Composer?

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is widely recognized as one of the greatest composers in the history of Western music. He was a child prodigy, one of music’s greatest treasures, but what made him so important and famous? Mozart is one of the greatest composers because of how talented he was, how influential he was to coming generations, and how he shaped the future development of classical music.

Mozart was a very gifted child prodigy, and perhaps one of the most famous child prodigy in history. He started composing music when he was four and knew how to play the piano at age three. At an age of four, Mozart even self taught himself how to play the violin. Even though he only lived until 35, he composed over 600 pieces of music. Mozart was so naturally gifted when it came to music that when he was blindfolded, he was able to recognize the played notes. This was said that he had “perfect pitch.” Being a child prodigy gave him the ability to create many pieces of music early in his life, thus making him a very famous composer.

Mozart was one of the most influential composers of the Classical Era. Two of the most important areas he has influenced are piano concertos and symphonies. Mozart wrote many of them, as he wrote 27 piano concertos in his lifetime. During the early eighteenth century, the symphony a short piece, only ten to twenty minutes long, and was different in complexity and drama compared to some of Mozart’s works. At the time of Mozart’s death, the symphony had been transformed into a longer and more complex piece of music…

Should US Reopen Now?

Many citizens of US are suffering from this pandemic, due to mental and physical health problems. Parents are stressed due to their children and the lack of jobs, young adults are struggling with mental issues, and sometimes, it seems like the best choice for US is to reopen. However, is reopening more beneficial or harmful to US? In this essay, I will be stating why reopening right now would be harmful to many people.

Although reopening means that parents could have less stress or get their jobs back, they would still worry about getting COVID-19 during their work. For example, if school reopens, teachers will have to teach their students face to face, increasing the risk of the deadly coronavirus for both the students and teachers. The parents that arrive home from work would worry if they have COVID-19, or if their children somehow got the coronavirus. This will still keep the stress levels high for many individuals, and more people are at risk of the coronavirus.

Also, if US reopens, it means that the schools reopen and students would be at risk of spreading COVID-19 to other people. If just one person in that school has the coronavirus disease, it could spread to many people there. Online learning is one of the safest choice right now to prevent the death rate of COVID-19 from increasing a lot. Although the virus has far more dire health implication for older people, the younger generation would still spread the disease even if it is not life threatening.

However, US seems to be reopening anyways. Reopening does let some parents put less pressure on themselves and the risk of mental health issue would be decreased, but it increases the risk of others getting the coronavirus and spreading it…

Emily’s Diary

It was a few years since my father died, and my sweetheart had just deserted me. I just wanted to stay home, to get everything back. To have all my loved ones together with me again, but, I supposed, that is not possible anymore.

I haven’t left the house in months, but it is the only thing I have left, the only thing that keeps me connected to my family. Even if I went outside, there won’t be anyone there for me anyways; I was never close to my cousins or relatives, or anyone outside.

The scent in my house was becoming quite bad, why didn’t the Nergo man clean it properly? Now people outside are complaining about the smell that developed around my house. I knew that they were upset, but why should I care about them? In the end, they will find a solution to it; they had four men cross my lawn and sprinkle lime in all the outbuildings. After a week, the scent was gone, and more people started talking behind my back.

After a while, I got sick. I knew this would happen at one point, but it unexpectedly lasted for a long time. It was painful just to get up in the morning, and it was hard to fall asleep. I decided to cut my hair after the sickness; it grew too long.

When I saw the town again, a construction company came to pave the sidewalks. There I saw a big dark man, with a big voice and light eyes. His name was Homer Barron. He seemed like a nice person, and so I began to talk to him. We would drive in the yellow-wheeled buggy every Sunday. Those were the good days, before I visited the druggist, before they started disapproving my relationship with Homer.

When I did, I asked for some poison, the best the druggist had. I got some arsenic; it would kill anything up to an elephant. However, he asked me what I would do with the poison. I didn’t answer, but I was sure they already could guess what I was going to use it for. They thought I would kill myself.

I knew everyone was gossiping about me, talking about me behind my back. They were probably thinking I would kill myself, but, they were wrong. I just wanted to make sure that no one would leave me anymore. I didn’t want to be deserted again, like I was long ago.

After a while, when Homer came back, I used the arsenic. I kept him with me, and stayed with him, every day.
