Why You Should Be Yourself

There are almost eight billion different people on planet Earth, each with their own characteristics and features. During one’s life, they might tend to go off track and follow in the footsteps of someone else’s life. Although exactly copying the life of a successful person seems positive, it comes with many consequences. The short story The Moustache by Robert Cormier is about a boy named Mike who wants to look grown-up. When he visits his mentally ill grandma with his mustache on, his grandma mistakes her grandson as her husband. Mike ended up having to experience a very uncomfortable conversation. One should not try to be someone else because it is not why they were put into the world, and it can lead up to consequences.

Each and every human was born for a purpose, and that was to make a change. The life of someone should not be to hide in the shadow of another person but to live life fully as oneself. A TedTalk spoken by Caroline McHugh highlighted the importance of being oneself and not comparing oneself to others. She stated how being oneself is the thing many people fail to achieve in life. Successful people are those who realized who they truly are, not those who followed in the footsteps of other successors. As for Mike, he wanted to look mature, hence him wearing the mustache. His mustache hid who he truly was, which in turn made him “someone else”. His faulty choice to not be himself lead him into a pit of trouble. Everyone on planet Earth was born different and unique, but some turn the wrong way in order to become someone else.

Not only does being someone else limit one’s potential of life, but it also comes with a handful of consequences. When Mike visited his grandma’s nursing home, she mistakens him as her husband. This was because Mike’s grandpa also had a mustache and was named Mike. Since the grandma was mentally ill and her time was coming, Mike’s only choice was to go along faking to be someone else. This is just one of many dangers of being someone else. As previously stated, being someone else can also erase the success from oneself. Being someone else is like losing confidence. When one thinks they do not have the ability to succeed, they often tend to copy another person. This is the mistake millions make, which in return robs their lives.

The greatest achievement of life is to truly be oneself. Being oneself is the sole reason one was born into Earth and can bring one success. The many who hide in the shadows of others end up living lives far worse than they could have if they were themselves. Alfred Hitchcock, an influential film maker once asked himself, “If I won’t be myself, who will?”

The Dangers of Global Warming

The future is something everyone looks forward too and wants to live in. Imagine the amazing top-notch technology and gadgets available for usage. The hoverboards from back to the future and those super cool AR headsets would become humanity’s reality. At first, the future seems wonderful, but many new dangers are emerging. The article New satellite maps show dire state of ice melt in Antarctica and Greenland highlights the damage of global warming to the planet of mankind. Global warming is a major threat because it can flood homes and introduce prehistoric diseases.

The article states in the span of just 16 years, from 2003 to 2019, Greenland lost 200 gigatons of ice sheets and Antarctica lost 118 gigatons of ice sheets on average each year. To put this into perspective, one gigaton of ice can fill a whopping 400,000 Olympic swimming pools. In total, Greenland and Antarctica lost 5088 gigatons of ice. These two bodies of ice alone caused the sea level to rise by 0.55 inches. 0.55 inches over a span of 16 years might not seem like a lot, but note that 2003-2019 is nowhere near humanity’s peak of bringing greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. In the future, humanity’s greenhouse gas expulsion rate will continue to increase. A study in 2019 concluded that by 2020, the low estimate of sea-level rise will be 11 inches. The high estimate is approximately 27 inches. Many cities living on sea level will be flooded, leaving a myriad homeless. When flooding homes are combined with the threat of overpopulation, these forces can work together to cause destruction. The article states that in the future, hundreds of millions of lives are at stake to due sea level rise. If mankind does not take the step to stop global warming, our future could be extremely dreadful.

The introduction of emerging infectious diseases is another major threat of global warming. As the ice caps melt, diseases that have been frozen for millions of years can be released into the air. Since the first modern humans have only been around for 200,000 years ago, nobody will have immunity to prehistoric diseases that have been dormant for millions of years. Today a novel virus, known as COVID-19, spreads globally, infecting millions of people. Since the year this disease emerged is only 2019, ice caps have been melting relatively little. In a few decades, the increased melting of ice caps could introduce humanity-threatening diseases every year. The daily life of a human could simply become quarantine. Going outside is a risk, being near people is a risk, and the only way to survive is to stay home. In the Yamal Peninsula during August 2016, the melting of ice caps started an Anthrax outbreak. More than 2,000 deers were infected. Luckily, there is an Anthrax vaccine, so only a few people were infected, but imagine the harm if a new virus such as COVID-19 emerged. This is a future no sane individual wants to experience, and global warming needs to be stopped.

As time passes more and more threats much as global warming introduce themselves. Global warming is a monster that melts ice caps and mercilessly floods the homes of millions of individuals. These melting ice caps can release deadly viruses, waiting millions of years in the frozen ice for their time to strike. Global warming will likely become a cause of humanity’s demise if not taken action upon.

Should the Government Ban Time Safari

Imagine a futuristic world where one can travel through time. Go into the past and take a ride on some dinosaurs, or go into the future and get oneself a hoverboard. When the day comes, time travel can become mankind’s reality, but should our species should take the step to decide whether it is safe or not. The short story A Sound of Thunder by Ray Bradbury is about a hunter, called Eckels, as he journies into the dinosaur age. The hunter disobeys from rules to follow and ends up changing the present. In the story, Time Safari is the organization that allows time travel. The government needs to ban time travel because it is extremely dangerous and not ethical.

There are so many dangers of the time, this essay would be overflown if all the consequences were listed. First of all, a small minuscule change in the past can lead to catastrophic events. As shown in the story, even an event so small such as Eckels killing a single butterfly can change the English language and even alter a presidential election. This effect is known as the Domino Effect. In the story, the travel leader states how killing a single mouse can cause a fox to lose its food. This starved fox will no longer be the food for a lion, and when humans come, the lion that was hunted for food never existed. Even an accident such as killing a mouse can cause humans to go extinct. No government in the right mind would allow anyone to change time to their liking. Additionally, time-traveling also creates alternate timelines. In the story when Eckels returned from his trip, the world he lived in had an altered language and presidential election. Eckels now lives in this alternate timeline, but the timeline where the butterfly was never killed still exists. Just as simple as that, Eckels unknowingly created an entirely new universe. As the government, they need to ban time travel to prevent such disasters from happening.

Not only does time travel introduce many new dangers to humanity, but it also is completely unethical. Some characteristics of unethical behaviors include serious manipulation, robbery, murder, human experiments. With the addition of time travel, all of these behaviors can be achieved with little to no difficulty. Time travel will theoretically bring along the ability to see the future. With this ability, one can see possible outcomes, and avoid those which bring one failure. Infinitely avoiding failure can help people rob banks, murder people, and opens an entire gallery of easy-to-perform unethical actions. Furthermore, with everyone altering time to their willingness, million of alternate timelines will be created every day, causing the entire planet Earth to be manipulated. Time travel is extremely unethical and needs to be banned. If the world miraculously comes up with a way to connect timelines and create a network of time, time travel could become an option, but only if the government prohibits the action of committing unethical acts.

Skeptics argue time travel would be a blast for those with curious minds and are eager to see the past and future. Critics also state time travel should be allowed if the creation of alternate timelines can be prevented, but this assumption is feeble-minded. As previously, stated the act of traveling through time even for a millisecond can completely change the universe. For example, if one travels into the past and breaths, a virus can travel into the past atmosphere. This virus causes no harm to live beings in the present, but it could eliminate entire species in the past because basically nothing has immunity to it. Even if one doesn’t breathe, somehow, dead skin cells can fall on the ground and cause changes. Some people are so curious to time travel, they’d die for it, but that would still create an alternate timeline, which is harmful to the entirety of humanity, not just the single individual.

Although time travel seems wonderful, one has to first consider the consequences. Time travel is extremely dangerous as a small change can cause catastrophic events and it will also create alternate timelines. Time travel is also extremely unethical. Should time travel be banned and humans live life normally, or should time travel be allowed and arise chaos everywhere? The decision is obvious.

Who Is the Better Teacher in “Miss Awful”

Teachers have one of the most underestimated jobs. They are the heroes who shape the following generation for success. Teachers have great responsibilities which are to be remembered. Of course, not all teachers are great, and different people can have distinct opinions on a single teacher. The short story Miss Awful is about a class that has an extremely nice and allowing teacher called Ms.Wilson. One day, a strict substitute teacher, Ms.Orville who is also Ms.Awful, takes her place, bringing hate to all the students. In the story, Ms.Orville is the better teacher because she truly cares about the student’s futures and is stricter in a good way.

When Ms.Wilson was their teacher, the students took advantage of her, and they do not even complete their homework. Despite this terrible act, the teacher simply does not care and provides no consequences. This teaches the students that homework is unnecessary, although it obviously is necessary. Ms.Wilson, being a bad role model, spoils her students and basically says one is not required to learn. Even after many months of learning, Roger, one of the students, does not even know how to spell simple words such as “flower” and “castle”. Obviously, Ms.Wilson does not care for her student’s education. On the other hand, Ms.Orville cares about the students and their homework completion. When the students first enter the classroom, she requires them to act with responsibility and discipline. Although this seems strict, it is an effective way to create civilized individuals. The teacher also requires her students to finish their homework, ensuring they have mastered the material learned in school. Additionally, the teacher informs one’s parents of their child’s weaknesses, something that Ms.Wilson probably never does. In just a few days, Ms.Orville has taught Roger how to spell, which is something Ms.Wilson could not accomplish in months. One who does not care for an individual’s future does not match the criteria for educating the generation who will become the leaders of the world.

Not only does Ms.Orville care about the student’s futures, but she also is stricter and less manipulative. In the story, Roger stated how since Ms.Wilson was so nice, they never even had to attempt their spelling homework. He also stated how spelling words incorrectly had absolutely zero consequences in return. Ms.Wilson better suits a baby daycare than a school because of how “weak” and easy to manipulate she is. When Ms.Orville is the teacher and finds out her students were not completing their homework, her reaction was completely different. She fiercely would rip the students’ papers to show anger. This way of action seems extremely strict, but it is the optimal strategy when trying to teach a group of “mind-washed” children. Ms.Orville’s strictness gives her power when in the classroom, allowing her to outperform Ms.Wilson by a milestone.

Critics argue that Ms.Orville is too strict which makes her a bad teacher, but this viewpoint is blurred. First of all, people judge off comparison. It is a property of mankind proven in many textbooks and science museums, such as a station located in the San Francisco Exploratorium. In the story, the story mainly follows the student’s perspectives, which says that the students think Ms.Orville is mean. Previously, these teachers had an extremely nice teacher, causing them to overthink the strictness of Ms.Orville. In reality, Ms.Orville’s strictness might just be a teensy bit above average. Even if she is extremely strict, it is only to cleanse the minds of her many uncivilized students. Additionally, an extremely nice individual does not suit the job as a teacher. A school is a place for learning, not goofing around.

Ms.Orville is a much better teacher than Ms.Wilson. Ms.Orville also takes the time to appreciate her student’s weaknesses and truly cares about their future. Ms.Orville is also stricter, allowing her to have more control over teaching in her classroom. A good teacher is difficult to find.

Established Perceived Notions Don’t Change

It is difficult to establish a strong relationship with another individual, but once it is achieved, the bond is hard to break. For example, it is quite rare for someone to despise his or her friend after many years of joy. The short story Hearts and Hands by O. Henry is about a criminal and marshall who go on a train. The criminal meets his old friend, and in order to escape embarrassment, the two men switch roles. This story shows how established perceived notions don’t change, but weakened ones do.

A strong relationship is established through many years of being together. This relationship creates a notion of an individual. Many humans treat one’s peers differently depending on who they are. For example, one might not swear as much to a sensitive friend as someone who is literally a gangster. In the story, the criminal, Mr.Easton, meets his old friend, Ms. Fairchild, on the train. These two individuals have built a strong relationship in the past, so those perceived notions remain untouched. Most likely, Mr.Easton used to be a good man who never committed any crimes, so Ms. Fairchild concludes Mr.Easton is the marshall. Even if the men did not switch roles, Ms.Farichild would theoretically not belive her old friend has become a criminal due to her perceived notions. Once created, a strong relationship is almost impossible to break.

On the other hand, people who have not established a relationship yet might perceive Mr.Easton differently as that of Ms.Fairchild. At the end of the story, one of the passengers of the train stated Mr.Easton, the “marshall”, was handcuffing the “prisoner” on the wrong hand. In other words, the passenger knew Mr.Easton was the prisoner. Since the passenger only knew Mr.Easton for a few minutes, his notions were not established. This meant he had nothing to base Mr.Easton’s actions off, while Ms.Fairchild did. Fairchild concluded with the assumption that since Easton was a good man, he is still a good man. The passenger never knew Easton was a good man before, so he created his immediate notions based on his observations. In this case, he observed Easton was the criminal. Probably, Ms.Fairchild also noticed Mr.Easton was handcuffing the “prisoner” with his wrong hand but did not care much since her notions told her Easton could not have committed crimes.

The story shows how established notions almost never change. One who has a clear relationship with someone has a confirmed notion. On the other hand, someone without a strong relationship with another will have ever-changing notions. A Relationship is a powerful bond that is difficult to both create and destroy.

Beethoven vs Mozart

Two of the most legendary pianists of all time are Ludwig van Beethoven and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. They both had relatively unique personalities, which translates to the contract between their musical pieces. The video The Difference Between Mozart and Beethoven – Mozart Vs. Beethoven explained how the flow of Mozart pieces sare more expected and perfect, while Beethovwn pieces are unexpected and wild. Despite each composer’s top-notch abilities, Beethoven was a better composer due to his unique musical style and perseverance.

As the video suggests, Beethoven’s pieces are more “jumpy” and unexpected. In his piece, Fur Elise, there are many significant unexpected dynamic changes. The piece develops from a walk in a garden to an intense war and ends peacefully. Each Beethoven pieced takes one through a unique journey, while Mozart’s pieces are not as exciting. The video mentioned a strategy that Beethoven utilizes, which is to build up to nothingness. This includes having large crescendos that suddenly drop in volume. This makes the piece much less expected than a Mozart piece. Listening to Mozart pieces can feel repetitive because they are easier to predict, while it is difficult to determine where one will end up in a Beethoven piece. Additionally, Beethoven also ends his pieces differently. In many Mozart pieces, the ending is grand and booming. Beethoven takes a different approach. He ends Fur Elise peacefully, which adds more uniqueness. Being unique is crucial when trying to succeed, as it creates unheard music.

Beethoven also persevered through more hardships than Mozart during his life. Mozart’s life was far less painful than Beethoven’s as there was nothing significant that could stop him except rejection. At just 20, Beethoven started to endure hearing loss which caused a constant ringing in his ears. As a musician, it was like his passion was slowly being taken away from him. It is extremely difficult and lost impossible to create music without the proper ability to hear. Beethoven even thought about suicide but despite his bad hearing, he still continued to pursue music and became a master musician. The work thanks him more persevering and creating such beautiful masterpieces. Today, many people already agree Beethoven is better than Mozart, but imagine the pieces Beethoven could have composed if he never lost his hearing. The difficulties of Mozart’s life are minuscule when compared to Beethoven.

Beethoven composed better pieces and was more persevering. His music was unique and unexpected, which makes the music feel less repetitive. Furthermore, Beethoven still composed masterpieces despite his hearing loss. Both composers have their own talents, but it is clear who is better.

The Symbolism of the Rose in “A Rose For Emily”

The spectrum of concepts roses can symbolize is vast and unique. A red rose symbolizes love, a black rose symbolizes death, and white roses symbolize marriage. Love and marriage are wonderful, while death is the horrific fate no one wants to confront. The short story A Rose For Emily by William Faulkner highlights the many major events in a lady’s life. In the story, the rose for Emily symbolizes love and death.

Throughout the entire story, the whereabouts of roses were never mentioned, yet the title is A Rose For Emily. This leaves the question for the readers to answer. First of all, red roses represent love in real life, so the story partially connects to reality. One of the interpretations of the meaning of this rose is love. During Emily’s life, she fell in love with a Northerner called Homer. Despite, her family’s novelty, she still decided to love a low-class poor man. This shows the amount of love bonding their connection. Additionally, the community also decided to make Emily’s life easier after her father died by allowing her to not pay taxes. The village chose to do this because they appreciated, loved, how her father performed many great deeds to benefit the village, and in return, they give his daughter a better life to help her fight through the tremendous loss. Her father’s death ties into the next meaning of the rose, which is death.

In reality, the meaning of a black rose is death and agony. Black roses are also used in video games to represent death. In the game Minecraft, black roses called wither roses cause the player to slowly die which is quite terrifying. In the story, death is shown when Emily’s father dies, and when Emily murders Homer. The death of Emily’s father caused agony for the rest of the village. The major twist of the story was when Emily murdered Homer, the man she loved. Her action was extremely strange, as very little people murder their loved ones. The most probable reasoning behind her action was to provide a better meaning of the rose. As previously stated, roses represent many unique concepts, and Homer has “given” Emily two roses. Love and Death. This strengthens the fact that roses have a large significance in this story, one of which is death.

Roses can represent a large variety of definitions ranging from love to death. Love was shown in the story when Emily and Homer fell in love. Additionally, the bond of love was broken when her father died. This ties into the next meaning of the rose, death. Death was shown when Emily’s father died and when she terrifyingly murdered her lover. The true meaning of a story might not even be highlighted during the story.

The Power of Machine Learning

Imagine living in a futuristic world full of intelligent robots. One’s robot could cook for them, drive for them, help defeat video game rivals, and much more. These AI would be based off powerful machine learning software and many other concepts. Although this may seem like a paradise, one first has to consider the possible consequences of machine learning before taking action. Machine Learning is dangerous because it can outsmart humans and has its own mind.

The TedTalk How we can protect truth in the age of misinformation spoken by Sinan Aral mentions the significance of machine learning when spreading information. A very powerful aspect of machine learning is GAN, or a general adversarial network. A GAN is made up of two parts, a discriminator and a generator. The generator’s job is to generate false information. The discriminator decides if the information is true or false. If the discriminator thinks its false, the generator will generate more realistic fake news. The machine slowly improves itself in this endless loop. The speaker explained how these machines were used to trick many people. When false news seems so real, not even a machine can differentiate it from the truth, humans stand no chance. A machine is far smarter than a human. In 1997, the chess machine DeepBlue even defeated former chess world champion, Gary Kasparov. Today, technology is far more advanced than 1997, and machine learning is on the rise. Many machine learning robots today defeated world champions of different mind games over and over again. With this powerful ability, machine learning will learn to manipulate and control humans, which could lead to the extinction of mankind.

Not only are machine learning robots extremely smart, but they also have their own mind. AWS DeepRacer is a recent invention of the intelligent toy car built from machine learning. This robot learns to follow a track with immense accuracy and also travels at considerable speeds. Additionally, the car’s ability to quicky race on a track improves due to the GAN system. In a video introducing the robot and an AWS DeepRacer racing competition, many of the developers explained how the robot has its own “mind”, so it might not behave the way it is instructed to do so on competition day. At first, this seems as if the power of machine learning has been downgraded, but the exact opposite happens. Since the machine has its own mind, it can ignore the human influence and decide to perform its own actions suitable for itself. When this ability is combined with its intelligence, it creates an independent society of beings far more intelligent than humans. These independent robots have their own thoughts, which can possibly cause all machine learning to unite and attempt to rid the Earth of humanity. All of this seems to fake to be true, but it could become reality one day.

Machine learning is a powerful intelligent creation of humanity. Their high intelligence allows them to outsmart humans and manipulate mankind. These robots also have their own independent minds with their own thoughts, which allows them to act as they wish to. Machine learning can be disastrous when used incorrectly.

Ironic Usage of Logos, Ethos, and Pathos in “A Modest Proposal”

Hundreds of years ago, many poor people in Ireland starved and parents do not have enough money to nurture their children. This problem is severe and needs to be solved as soon as possible. In Jonathon’s Swift ironic piece, “A Modest Proposal,” the narrator suggests that the poor should sell their children for the rich to eat. This way, the poor will no longer have to “waste” money on their children, and the rich will also receive “high-quality” food. Both classes will notice a benefit. Obviously, this is completely non-ethical and just written as a joke. The narrator attempts to convince the reader by using the strategies Logos, Ethos, and Pathos.

Logos is persuasion with logic. Using statistics and logical non-bias reasoning is a powerful strategy in changing someone’s mind. Lines 33-40 in the proposal show a considerable amount of statistics and mathematics being shown. The narrator adds into account the total population, the amount of “breeders”, what percent of babies will be poor, what percent of babies die at birth, and how many people are poor at birth. The writer performs a potpourri of math to conclude that 120,000 children are born into poor families each year. Seeing all of this math is hard to believe, so it is extremely persuasive. Additionally, the writer even highlights the nutritional value of consuming a baby is high and the babies will be cheap. Nobody in the right mind would even attempt to make people sell their children to be eaten. His usage of logos might have persuaded a band of shady insane people, but it is completely ironic when presented to modern society.

Ethos is persuasion with credibility. For example, a source written by a college professor would be much more trustable than a source by a random kindergartener. The writer adds Ethos into the proposal by including the fact that a very well-knowing American informed him that babies taste delicious stewed, roasted, baked, or boiled. The American also suggested putting babies into different dishes, will increase their tastiness. His usage of Ethos is ironic because he gives credibility to a cannibal. The American would have only known what babies taste as if he had eaten them himself. Calling a cannibal well-knowing is far too ironic. The narrator also wrote the proposal in a very formal manner, which is ironic because his excellent grammar does not fit together with his strange ethics.

Pathos is persuasion with emotion. It is one of the most powerful ways to persuade someone because feelings can be extremely deep and meaningful to oneself. The writer used pathos when trying to persuade that eating babies is better than eating the elderly. He suggested that since the elderly are already close to death, there will be no use to eating them. Additionally, he suggests the elderly are less healthy to eat. The death of any individual is devastating, but the usage of it in this situation makes death seem like a joke. Death is the most catastrophic event of one’s life, and making fun of it ironic, especially because it was used as a means of persuasion.

The piece A Modest Proposal takes one along an ironic journey of an insane man attempting to persuade civilized individuals to eat children. His dark usage of logos always ended with terrifying conclusions. He attempted to find credible sources and ended up listening to a cannibal for information. The man also tried persuading the readers by using death as a joke. Logos, Ethos, and Pathos are powerful tools when used correctly, but jokes when used incorrectly.

Ideas For a COVID-19 Prevention App

A common problem in society is how to change people’s behavior. Most approaches include informing one about dangers and threatening one, but people tend to avoid bad news, so this strategy is ineffective. The TedTalk How to motivate yourself to change your behavior spoken by Tali Sharot illustrates three effective ways to help change one’s behavior. Changing behavior is crucial in times like this, where many people do not wear face masks and forget the importance of social distancing. Fortunately, one can create an app that does just this. Employing features such as social incentives, monitoring progress, and granting immediate rewards into an app can significantly improve COVID-19 prevention measures.

Social incentives are comparing one to others. For example, creating a leaderboard system for committing a certain helpful behavior can promote this action. The speaker used social incentives to increase the hand-washing rates of doctors from 10% to 90%. In this app, let’s call it COVID-19 Fighters (yes the name is cringy), the developers can add a leaderboard that shows how many times one is washing their hands, or how often they social distance and wear masks. There could be four separate leaderboards. Three of them each represent how much people social distance, wear masks, and wash hands. The fourth leaderboard can show the overall amount of protection. There can also be a system added which shows the average performance, one’s own performance, and the performance of the top 10%. Obviously, competitiveness is a common human trait, so people will take even more precautions to reach the top.

Progress monitoring is another strategy in order to improve behavioral change. The speaker explained how one of her electrical bills included the average usage, her usage, and the usage of the most efficient neighbor. Of course, she wanted to become that efficient neighbor. In COVID-19 Fighters, there should be an option for one to see a graph of their progress. One could see progress over each month, week, and day. Doing the right actions will make the graph go up while committing wrongdoings does the opposite. Not only can one see their own progress, but the app should also enable one to see anyone’s progress. This helps people see how much one should improve if they want to climb the leaderboards. Additionally, the opening screen of the app should contain a message saying how the person is doing. If their progress over the current week was less than that of the previous week, the message would help motivate them to try harder. If they were doing better, the message would tell them they are doing great. These possible ideas of progress monitoring can really help people strive to climb up the leaderboards and fight COVID-19.

Granting one immediate reward is also crucial for changing one’s behavior. In the same strategy of making doctors wash their hands more frequently, the speaker also explained how making the points go up immediately made the doctors feel better. In COVID-19 Fighters, immediate rewards are presented when one earns points and climbs in the leaderboard for taking precautions. There should be two immediate rewards granted at the same time, one of them is leaderboard points, which increases their leaderboard rank. The other reward should be a reward of a certain amount of in-game currency. This currency can be used to buy cool items and gadgets which can help increase points earned for each activity. For example, buying a sink for one’s in-game home can increase the number of points one earns from washing hands in real life. There should also be something added called leaderboard rewards. Every few weeks, the top performers on the leaderboard will earn a large amount of in-game currency, and possibly even real money. Obviously, the money reward should not be so much that the game goes bankrupt.

Below are some possible additions to this app that do not follow these three strategies can also help promote safety precautions. There could be a small icon in the corner of the screen that shows the distance of one from another user. If the distance is under 10 feet a warning should pop up. Additionally, there should also be an option to friend family members who live in the same home, this way, the warnings will not pop up if the two family members are near each other. Friending should only be allowed to people within a ten-foot radius to prevent the app from not showing warnings when confronted with strangers. The game should also employ animations and graphics that are pleasant to all ages. The app should not be seen as a childish game nor something boring for children. The entire family should enjoy it. Adding in-game homes would make the app a lot more fun to play during spare time. One could upgrade their home size, add furniture, and also tour other user’s homes. The in-game furniture can be used to generate automatic points, grant more points for specific actions, or just for decorations. If this game were to be further developed, it could help save millions of lives.
