The mustache

The story starts out with Annie getting the flu and not being able to go on a date with Harry. And then Annie, talks with her little brother, Mike, that he didn’t have to wear a mustache. She didn’t want Mike to wear a mustache because a few days ago, he went to the movies with Cindy and the person at the movies making people pay money charged Mike full price, even though he showed her his driver’s licence. And then his mom said that his Grandmother probably wouldn’t recognize him. Mike’s Grandmother lived at a hospital and was diagnosed with arteriosclerosis, which is a chronic disease, which makes sense, because Mike’s grandmother is very old. Mike went to visit his Grandmother. His first impression of the nursing home that his grandmother was staying at was the air was sterile. He couldn’t smell or taste anything. He found the room for his grandmother and found her in her bed. He was relieved that his grandmother called him Mike. And then she started talking about random stuff that Mike didn’t know about. And then she started asking for forgiveness from Mike. And then Mike realized that she recognized Mike as her husband, not her grandson. And then his grandma fell asleep and Mike left. And then he went home, went upstairs and took out the electric razor Annie gave him for Christmas and shaved off his mustache.

Mozart’s life

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Austria in 1756. Mozart’s father, Leopold was a professional musician, so Mozart would be too, right? Leopold began teaching Mozart clavier pieces when Mozart was only 4 years old. It started out as fun, but young Mozart surprised everyone by repeating the pieces perfectly. He also began composing little pieces. Leopold thought this was his chance to be famous, so he toured around Germany, France, and also England. They had to travel by horse and cart, and suffered from illnesses. They also didn’t get paid for a while, either, so times were tough. When Mozart was 17, he got a job as a court musician for Prince Archbishop of Salzburg. But, he got bored of Salzburg. In 1777, he left Salzburg, and went to Paris in 1778, looking for a job. He went back to Salzburg, and his father got him a job as a court organist. He constantly fought with his employer, Archbishop Colloredo, which was rude to him. When he tried to quit, he was not allowed to, but finally, he did. Mozart was done working with others, so he moved to Vienna in 1881. From now on, he will work for himself. His career started out well, everyone loved his music, and he even played piano for the Emperor. Over the years, he made lots of Piano concertos, and he performed everywhere. He had lots of money, and him and his wife moved to a luxury apartment, and started spending. In 1785, Haydn, himself, told Mozart’s father, that his son was the best composer ever known to him. In 1786, his first opera in 4 years was released. It was a success in Vienna and even more successful in Prague. Then, his fame went down. Austria was at war. Less and less people listened to his music. In 1786, he started to perform less and less in public. He tried to get famous again by taking trips to other European cities. But in 1790, he performed better, he made music that people liked, and his fame started to grow. In 1791 he was at a premiere for his latest opera. But he got sick. He was confined to bed towards the end of the year. His wife nursed him on his deathbed. He tried to write his last piece. He finally died on December 5, 1791. aged 35. He was buried in Vienna.

Landlady summary

The story, Landlady, starts with Billy Weaver, trying to find a cheap hotel. The porter suggested The Bell and Dragon. Billy Weaver was 17 years old, wearing a navy-blue overcoat, a brown trilby hat, and a brown suit. He sees a printed notice that advertised a hotel. He sees it and then goes to check it out. He pressed the bell, and at once, a woman was standing there. She lets Billy inside her house.  The woman was about forty-five to fifty years old. Billy asks for a room, and she lets him pay for a room. She charged five and sixpence a night, including breakfast. That was amazingly cheap. She acts all kindly and helps him with everything. She shows Billy to his room, shows him what he could do, and offers him supper. And she tells him to sign a book that was in the sitting room, and she tells him that it is the law to sign the book. Billy thinks that she is a bit off her rocker, but she didn’t worry Billy at all. Then, after a few minutes of him unpacking, he went downstairs into the living room. The landlady wasn’t there, but the book was, so he wrote down his address and name. He reads the other two people who have signed the book, which was unusual. He recognizes the names of the two people who have signed the book. The landlady came up behind him and started talking with him, and carrying a tea tray. Then, Billy notices that the last person who has ever come here to stay, was from two years ago. And then the landlady offers him some tea and a ginger biscuit. Then he started to drink his tea. He notices the landlady’s pets. They were dead, but the landlady took out the insides of them and stuffed them, to make it look like that they were still alive. They noticed that the tea tasted of bitter almonds. Then, Billy asks the landlady that were there any guests here in the last two or three years. She replies with, “No, my dear, only you.”

Then she got so good, her mother would have her practice chess and make her not do the chores and leave all the chores to her brothers. She started showing MeiMei around like a trophy, because MeiMei was very good at chess. Then, MeiMei got annoyed and told her mother to stop showing her around, and told her to get better at chess. Her mother got angry, and then MeiMei hit an old woman by accident and ran away. When she got home, her mother had a punishment for her. No dinner. And she went to her room, and practice more chess.

A good man is hard to find

I am going to be writing a summary about the story. A good man is hard to find. The story begins with the Grandma wanting to go to Tennessee, but her son, Bailey, wants to go to Florida. She tries to convince Bailey every day to not go to Florida. She tells him there is a criminal that escaped jail named The Misfit, and tells Bailey to not go to Florida, and that The Misfit is in Florida. But, he ignores his Grandma and goes to Florida anyways. They drive there by car. They have two kids, June Star and John Weasley, coming with them to Florida, in their car. And then the kids are talking about how boring Georgia is and their Grandmother said that they shouldn’t do that and that when she was a kid nobody talked about their home state in a bad way. Then, they stopped at a restaurant, and she started to talk with the owner of the restaurant about how good the old days were and things like that. The waiter of the restaurant was the owner’s wife. After the restaurant, the Grandma wanted to go to Tennessee, so she lied about having a secret panel behind a building in Tennessee, and the kids got curious, and wanted to go. They were begging Bailey and his wife to go to the building in Tennessee, so Bailey reluctantly drove them there. The Grandma snuck her cat onto the car before her trip started. When they were almost there, at the building, the Grandma startled the cat, which caused the cat to startle Bailey, and they crashed the car. The kids were pretty excited about the car crash, though June Star was pretty disappointed that nobody died in the car crash. They started calling for help, and then a group of people in a car came. They were The Misfit and his gang, but the Grandma and the family don’t know that. They come here, talk with them, then the Grandma points out that he was The Misfit. Then, The Misfit knew that his cover was blown, so then, he kills each person of the family one by one, and the last person to die was The Grandma.

The Lottery Summary

I’m going to be writing about The Lottery, a story by Shirley Jackson. So, the story starts out cheerful. The kids are playing with rocks, people are talking, parents arrive. Then the lottery starts. I’m guessing the lottery was an old tradition and every year they had to do it. Once the lottery starts, Mr. Summers and Mr. Graves, the mailman start the lottery. Mr. Summers pulls out a small black box with papers inside. One of the paper is different from the rest. The person who chooses that paper wins the lottery. Mr. Summers stirs and mixes up the papers, and invites everybody to pick a paper from the box, eyes closed. Then they go back to where they were standing before. They were not allowed to peek at the papers until they were told so. And then this guy named Bill drew the winning lottery card. Then his wife starts complaining. And then they drew again. And then Tessie drew the winning lottery card. What was the prize? The prize was to get stoned to death. And that is what they did.

Why we need to stop global warming

Global warming is bad. What global warming is doing is melting polar ice caps and causing the rise of sea levels. Which cause floods and people to lose their lives and their homes. So, how can we prevent global warming? You could, use electric vehicles. Maybe stop using fossil fuels. Stop wasting water and food. Kill less animals. Stop using factories. Lastly, stop using your electronics. Also, plant more trees and plants. Why do we need to stop this global warming? Because global warming is causing droughts, which cause crops to dry up, which also causes world hunger. Also, it is making the polar ice caps melt and make the sea levels rise and people’s houses flood and lives are lost. So, we need to stop global warming.

Miss Awful Summary

I’m going to be writing about Miss Awful. So, Roger, the student, didn’t want to do his homework and wanted to go to the park, because he was going to have a substitute and he thought the substitutes didn’t care about his homework, so he went to the park and played. His original teacher was Miss Wilson, but she wouldn’t be here that next Monday. Miss Orville, or as the students called her, Miss Awful, would be there. So, as the students went into class, expecting a care-free week, Miss Awful comes out and tells them to form into straight lines and basically sounds like a drill sergeant from the boot camps. She orders people around to do everything. She seemed like a mean teacher. She said that she had taught students for forty-six years. And, she cares about the homework assignment that Roger didn’t think he would. As she comes around to his desk, he drops his book bag, and inside is a spool of string, baseball cards, and a water gun. Then she scolds him about bringing in toys to school. Her mother seemed worried that his son had changed from a playful boy, to a nervous person. Then, after that, Miss Awful ashamed the students in front of their parents. Then he tells Roger’s mother that he sucks at spelling and demonstrates by telling him to spell flower and castle. And he spelled them like flor and kazl. Then at the end of the week, all the children leave instantly the bell rings, except Roger. Miss Awful gives him the toys she had confiscated from him earlier in the week, and Roger practiced spelling flower and castle and spelled them correctly to her.
