Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany, 1770. Both his mom and dad were musicians so music was in the family. He started to play the piano at 4, and he excelled at it. He moved to Vienna when he was 22 to study with Haydn, the famous composer. Because he was so good at playing the piano, lot’s of crowds surrounded him when he was playing the piano. He established himself as a famous piano player, but he wasn’t known for his compositions yet. In his late 20s, he started to become deaf, and experience a loud ringing in his ears. Since Beethoven really liked music, he was horrified that he was becoming deaf, and thought of committing suicide. Then, he thought about the things he would miss out if he died, so he kept going with it. When he was 39, he performed the famous Septet, one of his most popular pieces in his lifetime. Another one of his great pieces is his third symphony, also known as Eroica. Beethoven became more grumpy and started to dress scruffily and untidily and was more rude towards people. In 1809 lots of people gave Beethoven a lifetime annuity, but only if he agrees to stay in Vienna. He agreed and took the money. Beethoven wrote more symphonies, string quartets, operas. The final years of Beethoven’s life were bad. By 1815, he was almost deaf, and he had very poor manners. He really wanted to live with his nephew, Karl. He spent most of his money battling with Karl’s mom and he eventually lost. He later composed a symphony called Ode to Joy. He also composed his last string quartets at this point. He became ill at the last years of his life, with gout, rheumatic fever, and a bunch of other illnesses. He tried to make a Tenth Symphony while suffering on his deathbed, but he never got to complete it. He could not sleep at night, and he could barely move or drink. Ludwig van Beethoven died in March 1827, after four surgeries on a stomach wound which eventually got infected. Twenty thousand people lined Vienna’s streets at the musician’s funeral.

Mozart life
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Austria in 1756. Mozart’s dad, Leopold was a professional musician, and he worked for an orchestra. He also liked writing music. Leopold began teaching Mozart piano pieces when he was 4. Leopold first did it for fun, then his son surprised everyone by performing them perfectly each time. Mozart then began composing little pieces, because he wanted to create some music. Also, Mozart taught himself how to play the violin, so that was cool. So, his dad was like, oh wow he’s so cool and started touring the world with his family and they performed for all sorts of people, and Mozart met new musicians and composers. When Mozart turned 17 he got a job as a court musician for the Prince Archbishop of Salzburg. But then he got bored doing this, as if composing for a billion people wasn’t enough. Then, he left Salzburg in 1777 and went to Paris the next year, looking for somebody to play for. But i didn’t go well for him. Nobody wanted him, so he went back to Salzburg and his dad got him a position as a court organist. Then, he was arguing with his employer and then he got so mad he rage quit and moved to Vienna in 1881 just to get away from his employer. Then he was playing and composing himself and he even played for the Emperor! After he moved in for a few months, people said that he was the best keyboardist in all of Vienna. Over the years he set up lots of concerts and he performed in restaurants and apartment buildings. And then since he was so rich he started spending everything and buying everything and throwing money everywhere. Then, in 1785 the composer Haydn told Mozart that he was the best composer known to me in person and by name. Then the composer moved away from writing keyboard pieces. His first opera in 4 years was released. It was a success in Vienna and it was his best work and it was really popular. And then his fame declined. Austria was at war so he couldn’t get any money. Around in 1786 Mozart performed less and less in public. His fame was vanishing. Then in 1790 he started to rise in fame again. He got another successful piece in. And then he was performing for operas and composing again and getting lots of money. Then he died. Sucks for him. So he got sick towards the end of 1791. Then he finally died on 5, December, 1791, aged 35. He was buried in Vienna. Nobody knows how he died.
Walter Mitty summary
I’m going to be writing about the article in the New Yorker about Ealter Mitty. So Walter Mitty is a person who daydreams at the worst possible times. Like at first he was daydreaming about being on a ship and sailing on a crew while he was driving, and then, while he was daydreaming he was speeding on the highway. And then after he drops off his wife at the hair thing to get her hair done, he starts daydreaming again! Now he dreams about being the doctor at a place and doing surgery and being popular and stuff. And then he wakes up and almost runs into another car and dies. After that, he starts thinking about what he forgot to buy at the grocery store. Then he starts daydreaming once again, about killing somebody with a gun. And then, he talks to himself about puppy biscuits and gets humiliated by a women who was passing by. After he gets humiliated, he sits in a chair at the hotel and starts daydreaming once again. This time he dreams about flying something in war or something like that. After his wife wakes him up, he walks with his wife out of the hotel. His wife forgot something at the hotel, and then he starts smoking by the drug store and starts daydreaming again. This time about getting executed by a bunch of people. Now, why was he daydreaming? Because his life is boring and his wife sucks. All she does his boss him around and he doesn’t do anything in his life.
ted talk summary
Kimberly is a teacher at Moses Lake High School and she is talking about climbing a pole at the beginning of the video. About climbing a 40 foot tall pole and stand with both feet at the top of the pole. Then If you fail at climbing the pole, you just jump off and the rope tightens and your classmates catch you. Some people would go halfway up the pole and get too scared and get rescued. She also talked about another girl who wouldn’t even touch the pole because she was scared. And on the inside Kimberly was scared and stuff, but on the outside, she was like oh it’s only 40 feet no big deal and stuff. And she talks about how easy the first 38 feet is because there was a pole to hold onto. Then at the top the people were supposed to stand on a pole that both of your feet couldn’t fit on the top of the pole. And the teenagers were like encouraging her and cheering her on and stuff. And when she stood on the pole, she jumped off, and the teenagers caught her. And then she started talking about texting with her son and stuff. And then she said her son texting with his girlfriend and accidentally sending pictures to her instead. And then after she talks about this texting thing, then she starts talking about Abraham Lincoln and how strong he is and then Abraham starts reading and asking questions and Kimberly starts talking about how Abraham needs to shave and stuff. And then she starts texting her son again about how she could be better at parenting. And he responds with not question my abilities. And then she starts to talk about when people get in trouble and if they did a bad thing, don’t start by talking to them with curiosity and stuff. And yeah.
ted talk summary
I will be writing about the ted talk video. So if you are a Gen Z then you are born from 1996 to 2015. There are good things on the internet like how to speak different languages. And there are also neutral things on the internet like conspiracy theories. And there are bad things on the internet like school shootings and protesters and ways to die and stuff like that. Most of the news is about negative stuff like people going to jail and deaths and global warming and stuff like that. People who work for the news are telling us too much stuff about negative things so we are scared about everything and our anxiety levels go up. Like if you hear like a story of a school shooting or like there are murders everywhere and like bad stuff, you would get scared. and it affects everybody in gen z. Like for example, in the video, they were in history class and they heard a big pop and they thought it was a gun and a school shooting was going to happen, even though they knew it was from the science class where they were popping balloons for a science experiment. This shows how easy it is to get frightened if you knew about any of these negative stuff, like kidnappings and school shootings, and serial killers and stuff like that. We need to tell the news to not give us too much negative information.
