Uncle Willy

Uncle Willy is a story about a kid running away with a crazy man everyone in the little town calls Uncle Willy. Uncle Willy is a drug-addicted, childish man who is very popular among the children because they think he’s cool. The church people try to stop him from doing drugs so he sells his house to buy a plane and doesn’t know how to fly it so he dies.

Willy isn’t sad about the death of Uncle Willy, he feels betrayed by Job and how no one understands why he liked and looked up to Uncle Willy. He cries while they were going home not because Uncle Willy died but because someone in their group betrayed them and how now no one will understand why everyone looked up to him. He only thought about having fun, so whether he was crashing a car or crashing a plane, he wouldn’t fear death because it was all “fun”.

In the end, the kids look up to Uncle Willy because he does a lot of fun things with them. But in real like, his like is ruined and he only cares about drugs. (and fun.)

Miss Awful

The story starts in a schoolhouse and Roger is the main character. Roger had a very very nice teacher before, she let the students take breaks from work, she joked around with the class a little and made school seem a little bit fun. But when she gave him homework, he just didn’t care.

When she left to go to Omaha for a trip, the children got another teacher. Unlike Ms. Wilson, Ms. Orville was strict and mean and she came in with a bunch of homework and a plant. She didn’t give the class breaks, she didn’t play with the students, and she made school seem like solitary confinement. She also told students to redo their homework if it wasn’t perfect, took toys away from students, and made students fear her just by looking at her.

Since the students hated her, they thought of evil ways of getting rid of her, some said to beat her up, another said to put a string in front of the door so she would trip, and another said to pluck the leaves off the plant she owns.
But by the end of the week, she says that she was only strict so that the class would be better. She also says that whoever destroyed the plant, to feel bad.

The moral of the story is to not judge a book by its cover.
Somethings might not be what they look like.

Lady or tiger thing

“The Lady or the Tiger” by Frank R. Stockton is not a regular fiction book about adventures, treasures, and monsters.
This is a type of story called an allegory. It’s basically a story that has a hidden meaning.
The story starts with the big king being described.
He was tall, strong, and had lots of authority over his people. But he was also half barbaric, which meant that
if he got just a little bit triggered, he would get angry.

After the description, the subject that made him a little angry was sent to his arena. The arena wasn’t for fighting, it was actually set to make peace. Whether he got kindness or killed. The task was simple, the subject had to open 1 of 2 doors. 1 of them had a tiger, and the other once had a lovely lady in it. (The next day…)

The day had arrived! all the people were in the arena watching the man’s fate be chosen. But… the princess had her dad’s barbaric blood so she could also be enraged in a few seconds. So… wouldn’t he die both ways?

The moral of this story might be to choose wisely because one bad choice and you could be in trouble.

Covid thing

During COVID-19, mental health was in crisis and physical health was no longer important (for this article.)
Schools closed, Theaters were shut down, everything social, gone. And closing everything was recipe for disaster.

On April 27, scientists surveyed adults for how much mental distress they had. And the adults surveyed for serious mental illness was 20%! 1/5 of America. And some people were suffering more than luckier ones. They found out that parents with children we’re having a harder time because they had to do work AND take care of the kids. While the ones that didn’t have kids just needed to go to work.

I think that if you need help taking doing everything at once, maybe you should focus on giving the children a big task for the day. That way, the kids will be busy and you can work. Another way is that if you have a teenage son or daughter, you can ask them to take care of the kids. (in return for money. lol)

Landlady thing.

In The Landlady by Roald Dahl, Billy Weaver, a young naive businessman gets lured into a bed and breakfast by a strange old lady, and presumably, gets murdered and stuffed. One of the themes of the story is that first impressions can be wrong.

The story starts out with Billy arriving at Bath and looking for a place to stay. He is directed towards a pub, but on the way, he finds a bed and breakfast and decides to go there instead due to how inviting it seemed. Inside, he finds the landlady, who welcomes him, and Billy was completely convinced to stay there at the mention of the low price and hospitality of the lady. The landlady then has him sign a book, which each previous customer signed, saying that there were only two other guests ever, who the landlady insists are still staying with her. It is then revealed that her pets are both stuffed and almost perfectly preserved, and Billy was given tea, which he notes tasted like almonds.

The story ends pretty quickly, and with the evidence, the old lady poisoned Billy’s tea with cyanide, which is said to smell like almonds. after killing Billy, she probably stuffed him and put him away with the previous guests, who were probably also stuffed.

The moral in the story is don’t judge a book by its cover. Billy came to the landlady because she had pets and her bed and breakfast looked nice. He continued to stay because she was friendly and had good service for cheap. Because of how nice the landlady was at first, Billy didn’t pay too much attention to suspicious details, leading to him getting killed and stuffed.

7th Grade (is not fun lol)

7th grade is a story about Victor, the main character, and his first day of 7th grade.
On the first page, Victor goes to homeroom and gets his supplies. He also explains how he knows Teresa and why he
likes her. I like the start because it explains everything and
tells us what the story is about.
On the second page, it explains all the classes that he goes through up until French (dun Dun DUN!!!)
I like this page because it just seems like real life.
In the third and fourth page, it tells us about the French class.
All normal, the students say hi to the teacher and the teacher starts class. Until… Victor wants to impress Teresa by pretending that he knows french. The thing I like about this is that what he says is just nonsense. (lol)
But instead, Mr. Bueller let him go instead of giving him detention or some punishment. Because the teacher had the same problem he could understand what happened.

The Moral of this story is to not be overconfident.
Probably because if you are, you’ll end up messing up.

Bat Poem

Finding new diseases is dangerous work,
Setting traps, getting ready there’s no perk.
Wearin’ suits from head to 2 to toe,
COVID-19 was their only foe.
“Searching 4 new viruses is a grueling job,
It’s not easy it’s no piece of cake.
It’s not something we want 4 do.” says Rob
But then you’ll have to worry every time you wake.
“Hey, Rob!” said Bob come look at this!
It’s some bats we found, in the Abyss.
Let’s test it now,
Somewhere safe n’ sound.
They tested 464 bats, 11 kinds of them.
“AHEM!” the boss said, “Hurry up, we don’t have time!”
Don’t just stand there like a mime, test, test, test!
The crew started to put the bats in and flick (the tester).
“Hey, boss!” Rob said “We found Six
new viruses!!
THE END

Allergy Poem (It’s not very good)

When Cathryn ate scrambled eggs,
“She reacted to penicillin,” says Dr. Greg.
Now she works in a lab with a gauge
but she got an allergy to rats
that sent her to the big H.

She studied mice
that went crazy
when they attached a microbe
that wasn’t very nice.
But then she fed
the mice the microbe
and they got better and didn’t turn red.

Years later, a concept called
immunotherapy
has come as a
treatment
that might work terribly.
It starts by the person “say”
eating the opposed food
a little every day.

She found out that
the gut had antibiotics
and the skin did not.
She also found out
that gut microbes might be
how to solve allergies!

Plague Poem

It was a happy time, a healthy place,
political rulers always had a trace,
It was a quiet morning
a happy one,
until that day when no one
would say “Yay!”

The enemy attacked
the cells went forth
it attacked everywhere
and the people went north.

This isn’t about the Americans
that has COVID 19,
it’s about Rome,
and Antonine
that virus gene.

Societies can’t just avoid outbreaks
but can stand against very severe aches.

Again, with dirty Rome,
the virus of Cyprian
retaliate.
It attacked poor Rome,
again and again.

Scientists researched that
when you get virused
over and over,
each time it happens
you might get a good luck clover.

Over centuries attacks have been smaller
with better medical help
and even better scholars.

But the point is that plagues in the past, help the future.

Real or Fake

On April 23rd in 2013,
the press put out this tweet:
Breaking news
Obama has a bruise
and the white house went BOOM.
The message was retweeted 4k time.
But all of it was fake
that’s a crime,
but it still went viral.

This news was fake
and none of it was real,
the press was hacked
by Syrians in teal!
Their purpose was to mess up society
but they disrupted more than a variety.
All of trading went to a halt
based on the president,
it’s the Syrians fault!

As everyone started tweeting,
a lotta money went down,
$139B
in a single day!

For some reason
fake news spread faster
than real news from broadcasters.

The point of this poem
is that news, the big total,
might be fake or real
So it’s all on you
to decide whether it’s real or not.
