After reading this short story, I thought about what I would’ve done in Bill’s situation for meeting the landlady. She was creepy in some sort which would’ve made me feel cautious. If I were Bill to check the registration list and see only two names, I would’ve been wondering, “Why would there only be two names? If there were only two names, does that mean there were bad reviews?” I would’ve been a little bit more cautious.

The reason why I would be cautious by the moment I step inside is that the woman opened the way a little too fast. She opened the door as if she was waiting for Bill to arrive…like she knew he was coming. This wouldn’t be normal because normally it would take half a minute to open the door. Like I said, seeing only two visitors on the check-in list would be a little bit suspicious. When there are only two visitors to the hotel and when they had sort of an analogy. If Bill came into the hotel, what if the same thing that the other two gentlemen experienced happen to him?

If such things happen to him, I think another person would come to the hotel because to finish an analogy, there have to be two words. but in this case, names. Maybe there wouldn’t have to be an analogy for this to happen. But, my theory for what would happen to him has to do with the analogy he said.

Seventh grade could be a grade full of drama like how showed in the story. There are three points that I would want to talk about.

The first point is that I would compare to Victor by the way he acts. Instead of having a crush, I usually try to impress my friends. One incident that Victor did that was the most relatable, is answering the teacher’s question because he thinks he knows it when, in fact, he doesn’t. This usually occurred to me when I was younger to show off my skills, I wasn’t always correct but I never cared what people thought of me when I got it wrong.

Next, I think the teacher’s story during his teen years is very thoughtful for the author to write. This scene is what explains to me why he understood easily about what Victor was trying to do and knew exactly what he was doing. His story of impressing a girl he liked with borrowed cars is similar with how Victor stood up trying to answer the question asked by the teacher to impress Teresa.

Lastly, when Teresa asked Victor to help her study French, Victor was very stiff. He didn’t want to deal with looking in Teresa’s eyes while talking to her. Once Teresa asked him to help her out with French, he decided to put his effort in learning French for real by studying about the language. By doing this, it shows how affectionate he is towards the people he cares for.

Sleep is important for health and having lack of sleep will bring down people’s well-being explaining they have to have the right amount of sleep. These days, many people are reminding relatives to sleep more or they will get lack of intelligence and will also get diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, including heart attacks.

These saying are all true, if only more people take it serious, the world may become healthier and humanity may thrive properly without relatives weeping from a family member with Alzheimer’s or the decrease of human population from heart attacks.

Scientists were willing to find some new diseases from bats. As they get in protective gears they take off to a cave with many bats. They then collect the urine from the bats and later do some research on them. This is one way to discover diseases.

All of these information about bats would tell people to stay away from them, because humanity won’t know what kind of diseases they might hold that may affect them. With some stupidity in the world, the diseases would spread as fast as COVID with the social gatherings. If the infected population increases without any cure found, the world’s health could be at stake. To add in more information, animals may be infected with these unknown diseases.

The mayor called out each family’s names alphabetically. Once the Hutchinsons were called out, Tessie asked if they could decline the punishment, many people disagreed so she went on with it. Once, the mayor was done calling out for their names, it turned out that the chest still contained 4 more raffles, so then the Hutchinsons decided to finish them off by picking them out and leaving nothing behind. the three children first opened their raffle, nothing was on it. Then the husband opened, still a blank sheet of paper. Once it was Mrs. Hutchinson’s turn, her husband snatched the paper from her and revealed the led colored dot on the paper to the whole town. Once shown, everyone started to pick up the stones the kids have gathered and started stoning her. People stoned her because they were sacrificing her for their ancestors.

An example of what is going on with animals in Antarctica are penguins. Chicks would go out to practice swimming in the ocean. While they’re doing their thing, sometimes seals come and hunt for them. The chicks would need to escape, but with the large chunks of ice floating in the water, they cannot escape properly. These large chunks of ice are caused by global warming because they have slowly melted which causes chunks to form. people in the world need to take care of the environment and ecosystem for the world to thrive. Without care, life on Earth will start to decline.

People in solitary confinement, or ADX, are known to be a place where “bad” people are housed.”Bad” people meaning that they had countless murders, are terrorists, and more. Outside of the prison may look nice and sweet and look like a nice suburban middle school with a nice lobby, but what’s happening inside the prison, is much, much worse than what you see on the outside.

Inside the prison, it is dirty and isn’t maintained properly from the inmates. The inmates have little bathrooms and have dirty attitudes. There are two examples of dirty attitudes in the prison, the first one is rubbing feces on their faces. The second example is attempting suicide and cutting themselves. Both of these examples are both from the effect of being trapped in such a miserable environment causing them depression. While these actions are being done, police don’t seem to care about them. This could lead to many deaths each year in jail and will have a negative effect on hummanity.

Roger, the main character of the story, had the best teacher before, Miss Wilson. She used to play with the students during classes and even let the students take some rest. When she gave homework Roger didn’t even care about it. Once she left for a week to Omaha, the students got a new substitute. She was old, the meanest, and the strictest teacher ever. She came to the classroom with her beloved plant one hand and a bunch of works on the other. She was Ms. Orville which students referred to as Miss Awful or the witch. The first day, Miss Orville took Roger’s toys ripped the papers of students who didn’t do the homework correctly, marched them in and out from the schools, and complained about the students to their parents. Miss “Awful” then accused Roger as a prodigy of misspelling Then she asked Roger to spell flower and castle but he couldn’t. After this embarrassment of Mrs.Clark in between other parents, she and Mr. Clark were surprised to see how Roger took his education seriously and was afraid of her. Another day when parents came to pick up their children Nancy Reeves, Roger’s friend’s Bruce Reeves mother remembered that she knew Miss Orville and said that she was evicted from her apartment and was left homeless with her plants.

Since the students hated her they thought of many horrible ways of getting rid of her like beating her up. One of Roger’s classmates came up with the idea to rip the leaves of her plant. Miss Awful started her last day with what is going on in the world. After she saw the plant all bare, she said to only say sorry and then to be forgiven. After the class ended there were no forming lines and some students were silent, or in regret, while others were happy. She gave Roger his toys, he understood how much it was to be educated, and to show how she helped him he spelled the two words she gave him before beautifully and left the room.

Many pet owners love their pets as much as their family members. Those people wouldn’t want their pets getting sick or infected with any sort of virus. To do this, they get antibiotics to make sure they stay healthy and live a long life. Of course, too much of anything isn’t good, but some pet owners aren’t aware of this and give too much medicine.

A lot of medicine would be bad for any kind of living organism that is offered to eat it. It is unhealthy because the more antibiotics you feed your body, the more immune the viruses and bacteria will get. They will become used to it and will not be defeated. The point of doctors reminding people to eat their medicines on specific dates is because if the person misses it, they will not kill the right amount of bacteria, if they eat too much, it will end as a result of the bacteria becoming immune.

Humanity and other organisms need to look after themselves to make sure they don’t have too many antibiotics. Antibiotics will be used up and no more will be produced at a certain time that will be enough for the world. Without medicine, people might perish, so we need to use our medication wisely without using too much or too few.
