Changing your DNA

Have you ever watched a Marvel movie before? If you have, there is a character called Hulk in the Marvel movie. his DNA is messed up and that’s what caused them to become really strong when she gets angry or when some part of his emotional system is triggered. But what if I tell you that changing DNA is no longer something that you see in science fiction, scientist have announced that you can now inject are there animals DNA into the human cells to make the human Show stronger and better basically. and there are two reasons for that: first of all, they wanted to change the human DNA so humans can live and create a colony on Mars. second of all, they wanted humans to also explore a moon of Jupiter that has actually water under the Frozen surface and they also say that.  The Moon has the most likely to have life-forms in the whole solar system.

First of all Mars, there are a couple of reasons why they needed to change human DNA when they’re traveling to Mars. First of all,  On Mars, there is no longer going to be protection for you from the  Radiation from space that is coming to you. That is going to be the same reason why they needed to change human DNA for Mars. Second of all, changing human DNA is going to affect a lot in the way that humans act, such as maybe two leading the heart. Is really fragile and replacing it with some more DNA such as humans can survive when the temperature is 0 without any clothes or can survive 30 days without food or drink kind of like a cactus or a camel.

In the end, I felt like changing human DNA is really going to be an important step and improving the human technologies that are going into space and I feel like that is going to be the biggest Improvement of the century if they’re able to pull it off.

Life of Mozart

If you like music, you should know who Mozart is. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Salzburg in 1756. His father, Leopold was a professional musician in the orchestra. He wrote music and also wrote about violing learning. He began to teach Mozart a few pieces when he was four years old. He surprised everyone when he played those pieces perfectly. he started to compose little pieces of music just out of the desire to make music. They were even more surprised when Mozart started to teach himself how to play the violin.

Leopold had a clever idea to take a tour around Germany, France, and England to show that Mozart had special abilities. The journey was harsh. There were no trains, so they traveled with a horse-and-cart. They suffered from sicknesses and the low-income rate, but they all made it back alive.

When Mozart was 17(1777), he got the job as a court musician for the Prince of Salzburg. It was a great chance because he got paid to compose any type of music genre. He was writing many pieces, but soon got bored with Salzburg. he soon left and went to Paris. It wasn’t very good because the Parisian musical didn’t even take notice of him. he went back in 1779and got the position of court organist. he wanted to quit but he could not. he finally quit but was humiliated at the same time. He didn’t want to work for anyone so he moved to Vienna in 1881.

He started great because the people there loved his music. He also played the piano for the emperor. He also married Constanze Weber, the third daughter of a musical family in 1782. Now, he had a bride and a great reputation in Europe. He started to write more and more piano pieces. Some are still played today. He was most popular in 1785 when a great composer named Haydn told Leopold that Mozart was the greatest composer known to him in person and by name. But that didn’t last.

Around 1786, he performed less and less in public and his fame was declining. He struggled to regain his fame. In 1790 started to look hopeful. He started furiously writing new pieces.

In 1791, he got sick and couldn’t perform. near the end of the year, he had to stay in bed. his wife helped to treat him. he was also trying to finish his last piece. He thought it was going to be his own funeral. he died on December 5th in 1791. He was 35 and was buried in Vienna

Colonizing Mars

In Colonizing Mars may require humanity to tweak its DNA by Mike Wall of Space.com, there is a debate about whether humans should terraform the planet of Mars to suit human survival. The side for this argument says that terraforming Mars is safer for humans and more productive. Also, if this technology works on Mars, it could be used to terraform other planets as well. The argument against it says that, as we don’t fully understand what Mars’ ecosystem is like, it would be safer to wait until we understand it before we drastically alter it.

I believe that we should fully comprehend Mars’ ecosystem before we make a decision as drastic and as far-reaching as redesigning an entire planet. Humans have explored Earth for centuries and we still don’t know everything about our own planet. Presently, less than one percent of Mars’ surface has been explored, and that doesn’t include the subterranean features. To act before we comprehend what Mars has to offer would be a major misstep with astronomical consequences that might be irreversible.

Across the board, terraforming Mars right now will be unrealistic, but with enough knowledge and improvements to technology, we will be able to objectively say whether terraforming Mars would be a good idea. Humans have always made decisions with enough knowledge of the consequences of their actions, and this should be the same.

Be Grateful For What You Already Have

Imagine having everything you could ever want … but then have it all taken away from you! Taking things for granted is something that is common for families who aren’t in need of basic essentials. However, everything could disappear from your life at any time. Being grateful for the things you already have is very important.

Heart and Hands” by O. Henry is about a man named Mr. Easton who is a prisoner because of counterfeiting. It is hinted that he was of the higher class in the past but because he started losing money, he made fake money to use as it “takes money to keep step with [his] crowd”. Then, it suddenly all got taken away from him when he got found out by the police. If Easton hadn’t cared about the amount of money other people have and just saved up more of his money, he could maintain his lifestyle but he decided to do the riskier and illegal way.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a famous composer in the 1700s and he kept on switching where he was in his musical career. For example, he was a musician for an Austrian prince and was in a very good place as he was being paid well and he also wrote extremely good pieces. However, he got bored and decided to quit but it (at first) didn’t go well for him. He recovered years later, but what if he didn’t? If he had stuck with the job he already had he could’ve gained more financially and also become more famous and then changed after he became very stable.

Being appreciative of the things you already have is essential as any of it could vanish at any moment. Mr. Easton wouldn’t have gone to jail and Mozart could be even more famous. Always be grateful for what you have.

Should People Be Changing The Environment to Live on Mars?

Many cameras are sent to Mars, this is because people want to try to live on earth. People want to change the environment on mars so it is better for human to live on it. Is this the right thing to do? I don’t think it is the right thing to do. This is because living on earth right now is fine for human, so why change a place. Also because people didn’t fully understand Mars yet. Now trying to move to Mars is a difficult task for human, maybe when more things are invented.

One reason why people should not move to mars right now is because living on earth right now is fine. Even though people were destroying the environment on earth before, but now they are starting to understand how the environment is important. Earth is in a fine condition today, people have enough air and stuff, so there is really no use right now to move to Mars. Plus changing a totally different environment for people to live in could cause many other unknown problems. So changing humans living place to Mars is not such a good idea right now.

Another reason why people should not move to Mars right now is because people didn’t fully understand Mars yet. Scientists found out that there might be lives of Mars a long time ago. Though we don’t know if there is life on Mars right now, so there are certain risks of going on Mars. Scientists also found out there was water on Mars before. But we don’t know what happened a long time ago, so this is another risk. Not knowing Mars fully might also cause trouble for people who starts living on Mars, because they don’t know what they are facing.

From the points above, I think that people should not work on moving to Mars right now. Because living on earth right now is fine for human. And because people didn’t fully understand Mars yet. When science is taken up a level, maybe that is the time to explore Mars and try living on it. Or when earth is not a good place to live any more, then it is the time to explore the other planets.

Colonizing Mars

With the population of the world on a steady rise, humanity must face the prospect of finding another place to plant our civilization. One solution is to colonize our neighboring planet, Mars. Surviving this foreign climate can be made much easier thanks to genetic modification. However, modifying the structure of human beings can be seen as inhumane, and it may be a little too soon to start investing in this extreme solution.

Space exploration is important for our understanding of the universe, but having to modify human genetics proves that perhaps living life on Mars is not ideal yet. Although using the abilities of some extremophile microorganisms, like stated in “Colonizing Mars may require humanity to tweak its DNA,” can help astronauts journey farther in space, scientists still need to consider the risk factor since this has not been put into practice at this high of a scale before.

Another aspect of going to Mars is how us as humans use the land. Terraforming, or altering the terrain of a particular place, would affect life living there if there was any in the first place, making it harder to research. Terraforming is the most efficient solution until technology further advances and allows us to do things like climate and atmosphere control.

Going to Mars for research may help our understanding, but due to issues like the dangers of genetically modyfing the DNA in humans, or the effects of altering Mars’s surface, right now is not the best time to consider it as a suitable place to inhabit.

Hearts and Hands

In this story, I think the lady, Miss Fairchild, is naive and sheltered. She meets an old friend, Mr. Easton, on a train who is handcuffed to a marshal. They trick her into believing that Mr. Easton is the marshal and the real marshal is the criminal. She believes their lie and doesn’t question it at all because she is upper class. Mr. Easton is upper class too, and Miss Fairchild thinks that another person who is upper class would never commit a crime.

Besides being naive and innocent, Miss Fairchild is impulsive. Miss Fairchild says she wants to move to the west, and she thinks she would live happy forever if she moved. She disregards all of the consequences that could happen, and makes a questionable choice on the spot. She ignores the hassle of moving all her belonging to a completely new place, and having to start a new life.

Miss Fairchild also obviously has never seen any criminals or any experience with them in general. Mr. Easton’s right hand is handcuffed to the marshal’s left hand, which makes sense because Mr. Easton’s dominant hand is his right hand. If he tried anything with his left hand, he would probably fail. Because Miss Fairchild failed to notice this, she was easily fooled.

Her actions in the story prove that Miss Fairchild is naive and ignorant. She doesn’t understand how the world works beyond the upper class. Even so, she has false beliefs about the upper class. She thinks that upper class are noble and are perfect. She is gullible and is easily fooled by others. If someone came to her and tricked her with malicious intent, she would be vulnerable.

Hearts And Hands by O. Henry

Hearts And Hands by O. Henry is a short story about a young, naive woman in the upper class who meets a two men handcuffed to each other on a train. She turns out knowing one of the young men and is worried for a moment that the man that she looks up to and respects. the other man ends up actually being the marshal and the other one turned out to be the criminal.

Miss Fairchild, the lady, is most likely in the upper class as with the fake Mr. Easton. Miss Fairchild doesn’t want to believe that the person she knows and respects is actually the criminal even though signs point to the fact that he is the criminal. Miss Fairchild and the rest of the upper class doesn’t like to think that other people with that kind money and prestige would do crime. That means that if other people of their class are willing to do a crime that means that they are also able to do this crime.

In conclusion people of the upper class don’t like to think that their own class could commit crime. Their judgement becomes clouded and they don’t want to believe that they are capable of committing crime.

Hearts and Hands

Imagine, if you will, two men handcuffed together, with one of them looking clean and well mannered, while the other one was ruffled and grumpy looking. If you were told one of them was a criminal, while the other was a marshal, which one will you choose? Most likely, you chose the grumpy looking one, unless you weren’t imagining hard enough. This the situation one Ms. Fairchild found herself looking at, in the short story Hearts and Hands. One theme found in this story is how looks can deceive, and to never assume on something based on them.

The story begins with Ms. Fairchild meeting her old friend Mr. Easton on a train, who is handcuffed to a rough looking stranger. The stranger tells her that Mr. Easton is a marshal, escorting him to prison for counterfeiting. Ms. Fairchild takes this in stride, and talk with Easton about old times. As she starts talking about how it would be nice to live in the west, the “prisoner” excuses him and Easton to go to the smoker car, with a fellow passenger talking to another saying, “Say–did you ever know an officer to handcuff a prisoner to his right hand?”, obviously hinting that Easton is the real prisoner.

In the story, the author cleverly fooled the reader into thinking that Mr. Easton’s captor was his prisoner, taking the reader along with Ms. Fairchild until the final reveal. This makes the reader conscious of their bias towards the marshal because of how he looks. Of course the marshal himself encouraged this bias by saying that he’s the prisoner, but nobody questioned it after he said it. Unless you were very observant and aware of how police are supposed to cuff their prisoners, you probably also took his words in stride like Ms. Fairchild did. In tricking the reader into making the same mistakes as the characters, the author drives his point of not judging a book by it’s cover.

A point the author is trying to say in Hearts and Hands is that first impressions shouldn’t be trusted. Because he was dirty and grumpy looking, the marshal had no problem making it seem like he was Mr. Easton’s prisoner. The author further demonstrates the reality of this by making the reader make the same error in judgement, only to realize they fell into the same trap as Ms. Fairchild.

Personalities of Everyone in the Story “Hearts and Hands”

In the story Hearts and Hands by, Easton is getting arrested for counterfeiting and he is handcuffed to the marshal when he sees Ms. Fairchild. The marshal tells Ms. Fairchild that Easton is the marshal and not him. She believes him and they leave soon.

Easton is a good liar and is able to trick Ms. Fairchild (along with the marshal’s help). He probably lied because he doesn’t want her to think that he is a bad person or that he is a liar. If she finds out that he lied and that he was actually the one going to prison, Ms. Fairchild would think that he is untrustworthy and Easton would be embarrassed and would have lost her respect.

The marshal is very kind and understands how Easton might be feeling. He doesn’t want to embarrass him in front of someone he knows. He makes her think that he committed the crime because he doesn’t have anything to lose but Easton does.

Ms. Fairchild is very naive and gullible. She doesn’t notice that Easton’s right hand is cuffed nor does she really seem bothered by the fact that “his butterfly days are over and that he can’t travel anymore.”

Although Easton had tricked her, he and the marshal still go to the smoke shop because actually, the two people watching them had already noticed what was actually going on. In the end, no harm was done unless in the future Ms. Fairchild found out and happened to meet Easton again.
