Miss Awful

The story starts in a schoolhouse and Roger is the main character. Roger had a very very nice teacher before, she let the students take breaks from work, she joked around with the class a little and made school seem a little bit fun. But when she gave him homework, he just didn’t care.

When she left to go to Omaha for a trip, the children got another teacher. Unlike Ms. Wilson, Ms. Orville was strict and mean and she came in with a bunch of homework and a plant. She didn’t give the class breaks, she didn’t play with the students, and she made school seem like solitary confinement. She also told students to redo their homework if it wasn’t perfect, took toys away from students, and made students fear her just by looking at her.

Since the students hated her, they thought of evil ways of getting rid of her, some said to beat her up, another said to put a string in front of the door so she would trip, and another said to pluck the leaves off the plant she owns.
But by the end of the week, she says that she was only strict so that the class would be better. She also says that whoever destroyed the plant, to feel bad.

The moral of the story is to not judge a book by its cover.
Somethings might not be what they look like.
