{"id":9258,"date":"2020-07-10T01:04:41","date_gmt":"2020-07-10T01:04:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sunnyyouth.org\/blogs\/?p=9258"},"modified":"2020-07-10T01:04:41","modified_gmt":"2020-07-10T01:04:41","slug":"rules-of-the-game-by-amy-tan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sunnyyouth.org\/blogs\/rules-of-the-game-by-amy-tan\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Rules of the Game&#8221; by Amy Tan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I personally love this short story and it has been one of my favourites in this past week&#8217;s reading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It talks about how Waverly, the main character in this story plays chess games and also plays against her mother in a game that lasts a liftime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I like this short story for many reasons, the first one is like how this story doesn&#8217;t involve killing, unlike a lot of other stories Dr. Chen makes us read. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Second of all,  I could really relate to Waverly and how her relationship with her mother is sometimes very intense and how one wrong movement can ruin the entire thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lastly, this book talks about chess and I love chess. Even though I only play it at home, I&#8217;m never really tired of it, and I think that it would be one of my most favourite games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I personally love this short story and it has been one of my favourites in this past week&#8217;s reading.
